Happy New Year! What a year 2020 was – so tough, yet also so inspiring. This has been, and will be, the time for HR to shine. But the big news for 2021 is the new MULTIMEDIA Tucker Stone newsletter – Soundbites. As the way we communicate has changed and become even more critical to how we interact with one another, we thought it was time our newsletter moved with the times. We are delighted to partner with our friends at Shootsta, who have helped us with production and feasibility. We are also thankful to our network for generating new, and very relevant, content which I hope you will all find interesting. As a business, we have fared well (all things considered), and we are all very grateful to our community who have rolled with the punches and kept us busy. We have seen expectations amongst Boards and Investors increase and there is now no excuse for the people agenda not to be aligned to commercial and strategic objectives. The purpose and values of organisations have been (brilliantly) exposed in the last 12 months, giving consumers a glimpse of what companies stand for, beyond their consumer brand. Employees have voiced their appreciation or disappointment, and consumers have listened; many customers have shown allegiance to organisations who have behaved honourably, and with conscience, throughout this past year. Never has the way employees feel and act been so critical to business success – over to you HR.
